Obviously, we’re all going to have to wait until the presidential inauguration next month to see the real beginning of the end of the world…
Another Milestone
Sunday night as I got off the freeway at Magic Mountain Parkway on my way home, I cranked over to 22,222 miles on my odometer. Missed doing it on 12/12/12 by just a few days. Oh well…
But now, there are only a few days left until Christmas. I did all my shopping over the weekend, now just need to do some wrapping. The biggest thing I’m looking forward to is that blessed week off between Christmas and New Year–only 3 more work days left this week, and two of them from home!
I really need the time off and believe it or not, I’m looking forward to my annual house cleaning that I missed last year since I was laid up with my knee surgery. And BOY, does my place need it!

This is the last time I’ll see a date like this in my lifetime. The next one will be 01-01-2101, and I’ll be long gone–hard to believe.
To celebrate (?), I had lunch at Egg Plantation and placed a large-ish order at Right Stuf during their annual 12+ Days of Christmas sale (which ends Friday, BTW–so get your credit card out).
But right now, I think I’ll have a nice cup of tea and slice of leftover chocolate cake…
