July 19, 2008 – My last day in Kyoto (sigh…). I went to the Fushimi-Inari shrine, famous for its Fox guardians and thousands of red Torii gates winding through the forest—spectacular! I had lunch with Yohei, then visited Sanjusangen-do (Temple of 33 doors) which houses 1,000 golden Buddhas.
